Great location near Puerta del Sol and easy access to the Metro. The room was clean and had a heater, which was a plus during my stay. The WiFi worked well, and I appreciated having free access throughout the hostel. the noise level was bothersome. you could hear everything from the neighboring rooms. The bathroom was also quite small, making it a bit uncomfortable, especially for someone used to more space. Unfortunately, I encountered a language barrier with some staff members, which made communication challenging. Despite these issues, the hostel's position made up for some of the inconveniences.

Just an appropriate option for a swift stopover in Madrid with outstanding value for money. The flat screen TV was mounted well, allowing me to watch comfortably from one corner of the room. It can be a hassle to ring the doorbell every time you come back, so be ready for that.

The hostel offers clean accommodations with good WiFi.
My experience at Hostal Alicante was frustrating. The check-in process felt rushed and unwelcoming, particularly when the front desk staff displayed a lack of patience due to my Spanish skills. the room assigned to me had no windows, which left it feeling claustrophobic and uncomfortable, especially since the air conditioning was ineffective. I also encountered noise disturbances from other guests, making it hard to relax.

The rooms, while snug, had decent amenities including a flat-screen TV positioned well for watching comfortably. The location is perfect, wedged right near the bustling nightlife, which is great for those who enjoy the city’s after-dark vibes.
The small size was uncomfortable, and it felt claustrophobic in a windowless room with ineffective AC, which was just a ceiling fan. Noise levels were a pain, amplified by the thin walls that let all the racket from the adjacent rooms seep in—conversations and kitchen chaos made restful sleep a challenge. Plus, the showers were hit-or-miss on hot water on a long stay. Lastly, you need to ring the doorbell to enter every time, which quickly becomes tedious.
